Sparks fly as Hammersmith company undertakes charity run

Employees from Hammersmith-based Avanta Managed Offices are planning to take part in a 5.6 Km race to help raise funds for the UK’s leading children’s medical research charity, Sparks, as part of the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge 2009.

“Our team is made up of ten people from across our 18 business centres,” comments Anna Haslam, Avanta’s marketing manager, who will be leading the team when the race starts in Battersea Park at 6.45pm on the evening of Thursday 9th July. “We are really looking forward to this event as we’ve got a really enthusiastic team taking part and are hoping to raise over £1,000 for Sparks. Pantoprazole from Actavis launched on patent expiry in Germany, Ireland, Netherlands

ActavisActavis Group, the international generic pharmaceuticals company, launched Pantoprazole tablets in Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands as the patent expired on 6 May. This is Actavis Group’s first own brand launch of this molecule.

In Germany and the Netherlands, the product was also launched by Actavis’ third party sales division’s (Medis’) customers at the same time. Earlier this year, Medis’ customers launched the product in Hungary and Poland.

Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), is used to treat acid-related stomach and throat problems, including acid reflux (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Pantoprazole Actavis is the generic equivalent of Wyeth’s Protonix®.

Pantoprazole Actavis is available in 20mg and 40mg tablets. The product was developed by Actavis R&D in Iceland, and manufactured by Actavis Malta.

1. Implemented a new Application module “Blogs”.

2. Added a new option to enable members to delete their walls/comments.

3. Shows invitations in the Group and Events pages, and requests in the Friends and Photo pages.

4. Implemented the “Not yet replied” feature in the Friends module, to help members to get a list of friends who have not yet replied to their friends’ request.

5. Provided the option for sending message to multiple users in the Share > Send message.

11. Replaced the Swift Email Library with PHP Mailer Library.

12. Applied the privacy control on playlist during creation, and added the “others playlist tab” in the browse section to view friends’ playlists.
