The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association has given the political platform presented by the new Norwegian two-party coalition a positive reception.
“We’re pleased that the government makes it clear that the petroleum industry will be important for value creation and technology development in Norway for the foreseeable future,” explain Gro Brækken, director general of the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association.
It has been said that if the Norwegian oil and gas industry is to succeed in being a long-term supplier to international markets and an important source of value creation for the whole country, it is important that the political authorities facilitate this through a good and aggressive oil and gas policy.
“The incoming government has delivered a political platform which lays the basis for maintaining the future competitiveness of the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS),” commented Brækken.
With the future of the Norwegian oil and gas industry looking bright, Norway continues its search for foreign talent. Many oil companies are recruiting through the online recruitment website TUjobs.com, posting daily job vacancies in the Norwegian oil and gas sector.
