The Dallas Fastbraces® Dentist announces the availability of an innovative new orthodontic treatment. The design of Fastbraces® allows teeth to be straightened in a shorter amount of time than that of conventional braces. The unique design of Fastbraces® orthodontics permits root and crown alignment to be performed simultaneously, significantly reducing treatment times.
“We are really excited to be able to offer this orthodontic option to our patients,” says Dr. Tony Lin, the Dallas Fastbraces® Dentist. “In the past, patients with misaligned teeth had to endure up to two years of treatment because traditional braces move teeth by correcting the alignment of root and crown separately; Fastbraces® does both at the same time. It really is quite amazing because this approach dramatically reduces the length of treatment. In some cases treatment can be completed in just a few months.”
When a tooth is out of alignment, the root portion is tilted to one side or the other causing the crown of the tooth to tilt in the opposite direction. The design of conventional braces works first to correct the alignment of the crown portion during the first year of treatment. When that portion of the orthodontic treatment is complete, the focus of conventional braces changes to alter the position of the root.
By contrast, Fastbraces® are designed to start shifting the position of the root of the tooth as soon as treatment begins. Fastbraces® work using an entirely different mechanical principle to alter tooth alignment. The patented Fastbraces® system uses brackets with a uniquely shaped wire that corrects the position of the root of the tooth from the beginning of treatment. This innovative design is the key to realigning the root and crown simultaneously.
Patients report less discomfort with Fastbraces® treatment than those who undergo treatment with traditional braces. The fact that a patient spends less time wearing braces also means that there is less likelihood of developing more serious oral health issues due to improper oral hygiene.
