If approved by the Governor- General the subclass 485 visa will be renamed the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa. By implementing these changes the Australian government is aiming to attract a higher number of foreign students to Australia.
This new post-study work visa may be granted to graduates of an eligible Australian Bachelor degree, Masters by coursework degree, Masters (extended) degree, Masters by research degree or Doctoral degree, provided they meet all the other eligibility requirements for this visa.
