14 years after its opening Grand Hyatt Berlin has re-designed 126 of the 342 rooms. The 5-star hotel on Potsdamer Platz commissioned New York architect Tony Chi for the modernisation and continues the successful cooperation with the architect.
“Tony Chi’s warm colours and the selected materials create a very special atmosphere that will positively impact our guests. His designs stand for elegance and modernity combined with tradition and great attention to detail,” said Fred Hürst, director of the hotel and vice president of Hyatt International. In recent years, Chi has also renewed the event floor and mesa restaurant of the hotel.
By the end of August 2012 the first two floors will be modified. The Grand Hyatt Berlin modernisation of all rooms will be completed in 2014, but rooms on the first two floors will be ready on 1 September 2012. Four new suites will also be added. Prices for new rooms will be 225 € per night for a single room and from 255 € for a double room, excluding breakfast and can be booked online at www.berlin.grand.hyatt.com or at +49 (30) 2553 1234.
