GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of 13.56 MHz high frequency RFID reader module which is designed to read smart labels. It is integrated into other hardware for applications such as ticketing systems and access control. This chip is ideal for installation into devices such as printers, terminals and handheld devices with a DIP28 pin package.
This high frequency RFID reader module, model 713001, operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. It has a read range of up to 200 mm depending on the size of antenna. It is compatible with ISO15693 transponders and other standard tags including I-CODE SLI and Tag-it HF-I. It can also read 32 UID with a read time of less than 24 ms per label.
The RFID reader has passed CE and FCC certifications. It offers RS232, UART, TTL and RS485 interfaces for data communication. It operates over a temperature range of 0 °C to 60 °C and requires a 5 V DC power source with 80 mA in transmit mode and 70 mA in standby mode.
