Iceland’s flagship airline, Icelandair will be continuing its flight service out of Glasgow International Airport with four flights to Iceland per week operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
The Icelandair Glasgow airport service allows passengers on transatlantic flights to the U.S. to connect via Iceland, making it an ideal opportunity for a stopover holiday and experience the magic of Iceland.
Stopover passengers can explore the moon-like landscape of the Reykjanes peninsula filled with lava fields, volcanoes and craters or to the south coast to uncover it’s black sand beaches, waterfalls and glaciers.
Passengers can also experience the bubbling hot springs of Geysir, the historic beauty of Thingvellir and the breathtaking sight of the Gullfoss waterfall, especially when the water turns into Ice during the depths of winter.
Icelandair flies from the UK to Iceland with connecting flights to Boston, Halifax, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Orlando, Seattle and Toronto. Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC will also be added to the service in May 2011.
