British Women Less Satisfied By Their Salary Than Men

The recession has had a large effect on many including those who have been forced to take a cut in earnings or have even lost their jobs completely. mingle trend conducted a representative survey to ask Brits if they are satisfied with their salary.

The majority of those who earn an income at 62% were not content compared to only 38% who were. It seems that the inequality between genders and earnings is still apparent as 41% of men are happy with the level they earn compare to only a third of women.

After asking the same question, results showed that with an alarming 70% the French were most likely to feel negatively about how much they earn. In comparison, the Germans had sentiments much closer to those of the Brits but were still the most likely to be content out of the three nations with 44%.

The results show that out of those who receive a salary, only a small minority can say that they are completely happy with it. Considering the differences among the nations surveyed, this does not necessarily suggest a great differences in salary levels however perhaps more an indication of a greater gap in the costs of living.
