Toronto, Canada- GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released its compact PCM channel analyzer featuring flexible control modes and a convenient Windows- style GUI.
This easy-to-use PCM channel analyzer incorporates an analog signal generator/receiver, a selective level meter, a BER tester, a signal generator/receiver, a ring generator/identifier, a dialer, a DC loop circuit (ICT, OGT), a balanced bridge and a reflecting bridge into a single instrument. It is commonly used to test PCM devices, digital switches, carrier wave communication devices and VoIP devices. The PCM channel analyzer, model 2038, supports equal step sequence of frequency spots or customized spots where the number of spots is selectable. It measures return loss, longitudinal conversion loss and longitudinal conversion transfer loss. This advanced analyzer compares the measured results against built-in ITU-T standard tolerance masks and evaluates whether the results passed or failed. Test results can be uploaded to a PC where they can be further viewed, analyzed, assembled, filed and printed via included Test Manager Pro software. Users can develop and design voice channel measurement/control systems under various conditions remotely via USB or Ethernet interface. Additionally, the embedded software can be upgraded online.
