Today ecmk ltd entered a Protocol Agreement with the Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) which enables its accredited Energy Assessors to provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for homes and commercial buildings in Scotland. From January 2009, the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations require that EPCs are issued on most building types in Scotland when built, sold or let.
Victor Harrison (Managing Director of ecmk ltd) said:
‘Scotland has often led the field in terms of energy efficiency and we have many Scottish customers using our stock management software. These can now all benefit from the ability of our members to deliver Energy Performance Certificates’.
Karen Heaney (Director Service Delivery (Property and Support) for Home in Scotland) added:
‘We have been using ecmk’s Integrator software to manage our housing stock for two years, and the ability now to deliver EPCs will help us meet our legislative commitments and remain at the forefront of good environmental practice.’
Keith Jones (Operations Director of ecmk ltd) confirmed that training courses for Energy Assessors intending to work in Scotland will be available before January 2009.
Anyone interested in attending courses or in joining ecmk’s Accreditation Scheme should contact ecmk on 08456 123999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
